On April 21st 2017 project partners have organized in Trento a workshop entitled “Ridurre la velocità in autostrada a fini ambientali” (“Reduce speed limits on the highways for environmental purposes”) specifically destined to national and cross-border stakeholders.

Purpose of the workshop has been to deepen the Austrian experience with speed limits on the highways for environmental needs and share technical details about the solutions that the BrennerLEC project aims to test on the Brenner Motorway. Numerous stakeholders have actively participated to the workshop, with delegates from the Italian Ministry for the Environment, the Italian Ministry for Transportation, the technical group of Euregio responsible for the development of harmonized inter-modal transport policies for passengers and freights along the Brenner Corridor, the Environmental Agencies of Lombardia, Emilia Romagna and Veneto, the North Tyrol and Asfinag. A preliminary technical meeting with Asfinag was already organized in Innsbruck on January 27th 2017.
